Frederick
Burbach is a brand developer, designer, and educator with more
than two decades' experience producing strategic brand development
and design systems for major corporations in both the United States
and Europe.
While living in Zurich, Switzerland, he worked on
branding projects for Deutsche Telekom, BMW, Swisscom, Swiss Bank
Corporation, SIG (Swiss Industrial Group), EinChem, Balzers High-Vacuum
Technology, Contraves, TAG Semiconductors, and The Principality of
Liechtenstein. In the United States he has worked on branding projects
for Diebold, PepsiAmericas, Steelcase, Northwestern Memorial Hospital,
McCormick Center Hotel, and The Premier Bank Group.
Presently Frederick is an assistant professor of
art at the Ontario College of Art and Design. He maintains his position
as principal of Frederick Burbach Associates, serving clients in
strategic brand and design development. |

In addition
to a BFA in design from Indiana University in Bloomington, he has
a graduate degree from The Basel School for Design in Basel, Switzerland.
In 2000 he completed his marketing studies at the University of California
Santa Cruz.
Frederick has lectured at Indiana University; Herman
Miller; ICOGRADA's Conference on Education in London; the School
for Applied Art in Vienna, Austria; the Australian Graphic Design
Association in Sydney, and the AIGA in Denver. He has taught at Art
Center College of Design (Europe), Kansas City Art Institute the
Community College of Denver, and Western Michigan University.
His work has appeared in numerous publications including
Print, CA, Graphis, Swiss Business, Hoch Parterre, Cash, and the
Neue Zürcher Zeitung and Tages Anzeiger newspapers.
