These three projects came from Frederick’s course “Introduction to Design, Introduction to Typography” at the Community College of Denver. The first is a typographic primer, accomplished without the use of the computer, that investigates constructivism, deconstructivism, contrast, gestalt, gradation, and rhythm. The second is a poster that communicates the students’ cultural heritage. The third is a poster series based on typography found in the city/urban landscape.
